Art-Sense works to improve and promote access to art for visually impaired people. It does so by working with galleries to develop equality of access to buildings, exhibitions and collections. Art-Sense offers:
- Training in visual impairment awareness
- Consultancy for galleries to enable them to enhance access to art for visually impaired people
- Workshops for visually impaired people to make art
Robert Wright, Art-Sense’s Co-ordinator, was formerly a local authority head of service for visually impaired children and is partially sighted himself. He has worked with Art-Sense for ten years.
